Ace (1 out of 10 ) This is not the script they used in the movie.
Pac (1 out of 10 ) I have no idea where this script came from because as Ace said it is not from the movie. First of all Maverick's name in the movie is Pete not Evan, Goose is not Cougar's Rio he is Maverick's Rio, and I don't remember a Wizard in the movie the name of Cougar's Rio is Merlin.
Louise (10 out of 10 ) I loved this film so much!!! It has been my favourite ever since I can remember (not because of Tom Cruise). But I agree with Pac, who the hell is Evan and Wizard???? Some of the stuff in the script didnt even happen!!!! It wasnt Mav and Coug, its Mav and Goose (there's 2 O's in Goose boys!!!!).
Lisa (10 out of 10 ) its a great movie
Maverick (6 out of 10 ) It is a great Movie...The Soundtrack is great and the Actors as well. but here we have to judge the script. And what is that supposed to be? Movie and script has almost nothing in common. In the Movie it is charlie, who says in public that Mav didnŽt act right in that one comabt sequence. And then one Guy "gutsiest move iŽve ever saw, man" Then They chase each other and Charlie tells him sheŽd be in love with him. In the script its not her, but Viper.
Noodlemantra (10 out of 10 ) Evan was Mav's name before it was pete. It was changed later. This is the original script, but as the movie was filmed, bits and pieces were changed, which is why it's not familiar :D
I give it a 10 because of the movie, not the script, which sort of defeats the purpose of the rating but oh well
Rossmac (4 out of 10 ) yeah could you guys not figure out that this was a early edition??
BabaBhootnaht (1 out of 10 ) Great movie. Watch at least 10 times. But the script is different from what is in movie! This wrong script is flying around the net since many years.
kara (5 out of 10 ) Can someone please tell me if Maverick says "let's crash and burn" or "let's turn and burn" in the movie? It will solve a big debate!
Milo (3 out of 10 )
Okay, so it may not be the original sin in the truest sense of the phrase, but in the sense that Bruckheimer paves the way for a raft of mindless, pro-US homo-erotic petrol-fests with this bloated blockbuster, then baby, Top Gun is number one. All right, having said that, I bloody well enjoyed it when I was a kid and part of me holds onto that wide-eyed sense of enjoyment. There, I said it.
Kyle (10 out of 10 ) Crash and burn is not something you want to do, kara. In any kind of vehicle. Turn and burn is more likely.
Z (8 out of 10 ) It's interesting to see a work in progress Draft of one of my favorite movies, I must say the final product is great for entertainment.
sidewinder (5 out of 10 ) This is an early draft of the script, probably the first, there are similarities between this and the finished movie. Most movies have 1 or 2 revised scripts pre filming. They managed to cut most of the cheese and rubbish lines and concentrated on the action in the finished version.
